My name is Shumi Akter. My father died before I was born. My step father is blind so he wasn’t able to provide for our family. My elder sister works at Basha as an artisan and she introduced me so that I could learn how to make jewelry. This environment is safe for me. I am happy with the opportunity I have with Basha and I am now able to continue my studies while learning how to make products and earn some money on the side.
