My name is Nehar. I began working with Basha in January 2021. Before I was not able to work, but I am working now. Now that I work and earn money, I feel peace. I can give time to my children more than before. I came to work at Basha because I can work and keep my children with me. If I worked in a garment factory the children would have to roam around in risky places without supervision. I have an 8 year old daughter, a 6 year old son, and my youngest daughter is 2 years old. My dream is for my children to have a good education and live in freedom. In the future, I hope to make my own home. My husband and I now both work so we try to save money. If I see any woman in a difficult situation and needing a job I will tell her about sewing training at CUP (Children Uplift Program) and try to help her. I brought a woman who wanted to commit suicide. She came but stayed only for one week. I can make single and small kanthas. I am a new producer so I feel it is hard to sew patches on the kantha blankets. When I have learned more, I want to help others with sewing.
