My name is Akki. I have one daughter and one son. Before training and working at Basha I was unemployed. My husband and I struggled to pay our rent and have enough money for food. I had to stop my daughter’s education when she was in Class 5 because we couldn’t afford to send her to school.
I heard about Basha enterprise from a local organization. I learned so many new things during my training. I learned how to read and write in Bangla. I learned how to type on a computer, weave and sew quality blankets. I learned how to use a sewing machine.
By working at Basha, I help my husband meet the needs of our family. I want my son to be educated. I have been saving money from my training and work for his future.
