At Basha, we are privileged to witness lives transforming every single day—women stepping into dignified work, children receiving nurturing care in our daycare, and families gaining the tools and healing they need to build futures they never imagined possible.

Just last week, I spent time with the women doing simple stretching exercises to release the tension that comes from daily work. We also did a gratitude practice, remembering happy moments and reconnecting with those feelings.

Some of the women felt a little sad and nostalgic—longing for the carefree days of childhood.

But Maya‘s gratitude was focused on her life since joining Basha:

If you saw Maya‘s life today, it might not look like a lottery win by the world’s standards. But she knows where she came from. She knows what she’s overcome. And she is deeply grateful for the life she has now.

We are so proud of her—of her determination, her hard work, and the fierce love she pours into her daughter. Her daughter is preparing for her advanced exams and is a diligent student.
